Spling report card

What is a Spling report card?

A Spling report card (or 'website check') is a personalized quality-assurance summary of your website’s content. It highlights spelling and grammar issues found across your pages and presents them in a simple, actionable format you can review and share with your team.

Spling report card

What does the Spling report card include?

1. Overview score

At the top of every report card is a high-level score that reflects the overall bill of health of your website’s content.

The Spling report card overview gives you a quick sense for the size of the report and volume of issues.

You’ll typically see:

  • Issues found
  • Number of pages with issues
  • Clean pages
  • Pages not selected

2. Page-by-page findings

The report card breaks down issues by page so you can see exactly where problems occur.

For each page, Spling identifies:

  • Potential typos
  • Grammar issues
  • Misspellings of cities, brands, or proper nouns
  • Repeated or inconsistent wording
  • Other content-quality concerns

Each issue includes context and suggested corrections so your team can quickly decide whether to update or ignore it.

The Spling report results table shows issues, their page, and Spling's suggestions.

3. Suggested fixes

Every flagged issue comes with a suggested correction and explanation.

For example:

  • “Contibuting” → “contributing”
  • “Dharan, KSA” → “Dhahran, KSA”
  • “You’re dispute rate” → “your dispute rate”

You remain in control. Spling suggestions can be applied, ignored, and are always implmented by your team.

4. Exportable results

Report cards links can all be shared with anyone, and the Spling results themselves can be exported (.csv and .xls) for total flexibility. The point is that users do not need to be signed into Spling to make use of the reports.

  • Shareable report card links
  • .csv export
  • .xls export

How report cards are generated

Spling scans the pages you specify and analyzes the visible text content.
You can run scans on:

  • Entire websites
  • Specific pages
  • Landing pages
  • Emails or HTML snippets

Each scan generates a fresh report card based on current content.

Who uses Spling report cards?

Report cards are commonly used by:

  • Marketing teams maintaining brand quality
  • Agencies managing multiple client sites
  • Compliance teams reviewing public content
  • Founders and product teams before launches

Anyone responsible for website accuracy can use the report card as a quick quality check.

Why this all matters

Small writing issues can impact trust, conversions, and credibility.
A Spling report card helps you catch them early and fix them quickly.

Instead of manually reviewing pages, you get a structured summary of what needs attention — and where.
